Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team’s Thad DuVall suffered a practice crash on Tuesday, resulting in a season-ending knee injury. Following a doctor’s evaluation on Wednesday, it was determined that DuVall would miss the final two rounds of the 2019 Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series.
Thad DuVall:“I’m disappointed to have to end another championship early. A simple mistake leading to such a major injury is a real bummer but we will be ready to fight in 2020.”
Team Manager, Timmy Weigand:“I’m pretty bummed that Thad won’t be able to finish out the season, he’s had a lot of momentum here at the end part of the year winning four races this season.”
With four overall wins through the first 11 rounds, DuVall has put forth an impressive championship bid where he currently sits second overall in the XC1 Open Pro Championship.
