AMSOIL GNCC Racing Announces Rescheduled Date and Round 12 Location
High Voltage GNCC And Summit Bechtel Reserve Join 2019 Schedule
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (April 5, 2019) – The 2019 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series presented by Specialized, an AMA National Championship is excited to announce its rescheduled date and venue, as well as the brand new location for round 12 on October 12-13.
As extreme weather conditions inundated the southern regions in February, round one of the 2019 GNCC season was forced to be postponed. After many considerations, GNCC Racing is pleased to announce the revised schedule for the remainder of the 2019 season. Round nine will take place on Saturday, July 6 and Sunday, July 7 with the High Voltage GNCC in Dunkard Township, Pennsylvania.
“We realize racers and their families look forward to their summer time off, but it is important that we have a complete race schedule whenever possible,” said Tim Cotter, Event Director. “We would’ve liked to return to Big Buck this year, but due to logistics, we felt a northeast venue would be more suitable under the circumstances. We look forward to returning to Big Buck in 2020.”
Also new and exciting for the 2019 season is GNCC’s brand new location for the twelfth round of the season. This Fall the series is heading to the Summit Bechtel Reserve in Beckley, West Virginia on October 12-13. The Summit is a 14,000 acre facility, which has recently put in hundreds of millions of dollars in upgrades throughout the entire venue.
The Summit has hosted many different events including high adventure events and Scout Camp programs, and they are set to host the 2019 World Scout Jamboree. This event is expected to be a racer and fan favorite. As the season continues, more information and activities regarding the newly announced venue will become available. Be sure to check the website and GNCC social media outlets for any breaking news.
“We are excited with the addition of the Summit Bechtel Reserve property in Southern West Virginia,” said Tim Cotter, Event Director. “This facility has the potential of being the “must-attend” event of the year.”
