Waynesburg Yamaha, MX TECH and Hunter Neuwirth have agreed to extend their partnership for the 2019 GNCC season.
“Neuwirth was sidelined for most of 2018 due to a season ending injury, so it was only logical to give this relationship another shot for 2019 and see where we can take it,” said Brian Vasko of Waynesburg Yamaha.
Neuwirth will again be competing in the XC2 class this year aboard a Yamaha YZ250f. “I’m very fortunate and happy to be able to ride and compete again,” said Neuwirth. “Last year was a true challenge, and for Waynesburg Yamaha, MX Tech and most of my other sponsors to stay with me through this speaks volumes to the awesome character and commitment of these guys.”
The relatively new addition of MX Tech as a major part of the team happened during Neuwirth’s extended off season. “We have been testing with Hunter on and off over the last few months to be able to provide a superior off-road suspension package for the Yamaha,” said Jeremy Wilkey of MX Tech. “Hunter is very sensitive to subtle suspension changes, which makes him an excellent test rider for us. We are glad to have him under our tent for the 2019 season as we expand MX Tech’s focus into the GNCC off road series." Neuwirth is currently living and training in Florida, look for him in the XC2 Pit row.
