GNCC Heads to Indiana for Second Annual X-Factor Whitetails GNCC
XC1 Pro class slated to battle over the coveted X-Factor Trophy

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (May 9, 2018) – The 2018 AMSOIL Grand National Cross County (GNCC) Series, an AMA National Championship, resumes in Peru, Indiana for the second annual X-Factor Whitetails GNCC this weekend, May 12 and 13, after a two-week break. WFR/GBC/Fly Racing/Yamaha’s Walker Fowler took the win at the previous round, but was unsuccessful at earning the win at last year’s X-Factor Whitetails event. Fowler is looking to turn that around this year, and take home the trophy.

Bneal Motorsports/CST Tires/Houser Racing’s Brycen Neal is aiming to finish in the center of the podium for the second time this season. After earning the win at The General GNCC earlier in the season, Neal is hoping to return to his winning ways in Indiana this Saturday afternoon. Neal currently sits 17 points behind Fowler in the championship standings, and he knows by earning another win he will be adding valuable points to the championship battle this year.

After finishing second at round five, JMR/ATVriders.com/Maxxis’ Jarrod McClure is hoping to battle at the front of the pack and earn his first win of the season. After treacherous conditions at last year’s X-Factor Whitetails GNCC, McClure ended the day in the 17th place position. McClure is looking to turn that around this year and compete for the win, and the coveted X-Factor trophy.

McGill Mafia/CST Tires/Moose Racing’s Adam McGill did not have the finish he was hoping for at round five, especially after earning the win at the Steele Creek GNCC. This weekend McGill will be looking to bounce-back, and contest for the win as we just about reach the halfway point in the season.

Devon Feehan had a great performance at the last round, and is hoping to earn a podium finish on Saturday.

Round five also held the same fate for Maxxis/Fly Racing/Ye Olde Cycle Barn’s Chris Borich and AmPro Yamaha’s Cole Richardson, as they ultimately did not finish the race. Borich and Richardson hold the fifth and sixth place positions in the championship standings, but will be striving to return to the podium this weekend. With this many riders looking to improve their results, the X-Factor Whitetails GNCC has the potential to be one of the most exciting races of the season.

RJR/Tire Spine/GBC Motorsports Devon Feehan capitalized on others misfortune at the last round, and earned his best finish thus far in the season. Feehan came through the finish in fourth overall, and will continue to shoot for a top five-finish position at round six.

The man who won the inaugural X-Factor Whitetails GNCC, GBC/Fly Racing/HMF/Yamaha’s Johnny Gallagher returns this year currently tied in championship points with Spider Graphix/GBC Motorsports/Moose Racing’s Marty Christofferson. Gallagher earned the win last year, which just happened to be his first-ever overall ATV win as well. He comes into round six looking for another breakout race, but will have to battle through the pack of hungry XC1 Pro ATV riders.

Christofferson is hoping to earn some needed championship points by earning a top five overall finish this weekend in Indiana. Also looking to run up front is GBC Motorsports/RJR/Solo Pilot’s Westley Wolfe. Wolfe finished sixth at the previous round, but has yet to break into the top five this season. This weekend’s race could be Wolfe’s turning point in the season if he can get the start he needs to battle with the frontrunners.

In the XC2 Pro-Am division, Maxxis/Ithaca Recreation Sports/Fly Racing’s Hunter Hart leads the way after earning three wins so far this season. Matthew Lindle and Austin Abney remain second and third in points, even after a rough round at the Camp Coker Bullet. Abney will be looking to earn his second win of the season in his home state of Indiana. Coastal Racing’s Drew Landers made another podium appearance, but is still waiting to stand in the center of the box. John Glauda Jr. earned second two weeks ago, and is hoping we can battle for another win this Saturday.
