ROCKSTAR ENERGY HUSQVARNA FACTORY RACING’S THAD DUVALL CLAIMS RUNNER-UP FOR ROUND FIVE GNCC
JOSH STRANG RIDES TO A SIXTH PLACE FINISH IN THE XC1 CLASS
The Camp Coker GNCC took place this past weekend in Society Hill, South Carolina. The course conditions were extremely tough and dust caused for lower visibility in the already grueling eight lap race.
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Thad Duvall had an amazing start, taking the holeshot. However, by the third turn, he lost the lead, and went into the woods in second place. It was a constant wheel-to-wheel battle all day as Duvall and the leader swapped positions for the entire eight laps. It all came down to the final lap but Duvall would fall short on winning by six-tenths of a second.
“I have been working so hard on my fitness and making improvements aboard the FX 350. I fought hard this race and came up a little short, but look forward to being on the top of the box again soon!” said Thad Duvall.
Josh Strang crashed off the start and made his way into the woods in last place. By the end of the second lap he had worked his way into eighth, but continued to struggle. He fell in the third lap, but continued to push forward and finish out the final five laps in sixth, ending sixth in the XC1 Pro Class.
Husqvarna Motorcycles supported, Rockstar Energy athlete, Tayla Jones claims another overall win in the WXC Pro class. She currently holds the overall points in her class.
