Waynesburg Yamaha has announced the launch of a new GNCC team for 2018. They have enlisted the help of former Rocky Mountain MC ATV/KR4* rider Hunter Neuwirth to represent them in the upcoming GNCC season. Neuwirth will be competing on a Yamaha YZ 250f in the XC2 class. “I am so excited to get this opportunity and help launch a team from the ground up. Racing a Yamaha is like a home coming for me, as I have always been super comfortable on blue.” Neuwirth, who finished 2nd in the XC3 125 pro class in 2017 currently lives and trains in Florida, and will begin to work with his new team in January 2018. “Last season was unbelievable for me, working with team KR4 Arrive-N-Ride has taught me so much, I am very thankful for that” said Neuwirth. “The time is right for me to step up and prove myself in the XC2 class and Waynesburg Yamaha is providing the best platform for me to accomplish my goal to be a top contender.”
Waynesburg Yamaha’s Brian Vasko added: “We are very excited to be launching this team with Neuwirth. He has shown the speed, resilience and determination needed to help us succeed in meeting our goals for 2018”. Vasko himself competed in the GNCC series for the last 10 years on ATV’s and has been toying with the idea of launching a bike team since he started the dealership in 2005. “In addition to Neuwirth on the bike we have also been able to partner with Savaj MX and Chad Sanner to handle the engine tuning duties. Chad has a proven track record with Yamahas and has helped us last year with our MX and SX team. We feel we have a very competitive package and hope to grow and expand this team in the future."
