Team SRT becomes Team SRT/Husqvarna

Team SRT has signed a deal to be the Husqvarna Supported race team beginning in 2018. This has been a long time coming as the relationship started out by Team SRT buying one used, Factory Husqvarna race bike in 2015, a bunch more of the used race bikes in 2016 and then getting a little Husqvarna support for some of the top Team SRT riders in 2017. Now, in 2018, all Team SRT riders will be on Husqvarna motorcycles and this will be a first for Team SRT.
Team Owner, Craig Thompson said, “It has always been a dream of mine to get all the riders on the same bike and it finally feels good to make that happen next year. Thanks to Timmy Weigand at Husky for making this happen and believing in the program that we started. Team SRT is proud to represent Husqvarna Motorcycles and become Team SRT/Husqvarna next year!”
Team SRT has been the largest Off-road Motorcycle Race team in North America the past 4 years. The team started out in 2011 with 6 buddies heading to the local Enduros to have fun racing each other and testing out newly developed parts. Team SRT officially became a team a year later in 2012 and eventually signed some local AA/Pro riders and top Vets in 2013. The Team grew between 2014, 2015 and 2016 as it hired top pros like Cory Graffunder, Steward Baylor Jr., Cory Buttrick and Wild Wally Palmer. These riders put the team on a National level. In 2017, they fielded their best team yet that covered 44 Series and came away with 44 wins, 123 Podiums, 249 Top 10’s, 10 OA and PRO2 Championships (including the National Enduro Championship and Junior SuperEndurocross Champion).
