Walker Fowler Leads the Way into 11th Annual AMSOIL Snowshoe GNCC
Adam McGill Charges Into this Weekend Looking for the Overall Win

MORGANTOWN, W.Va (June 21, 2017) – The world’s fastest off-road ATV racers will take to Snowshoe Mountain this Saturday, June 24, for the 11th annual AMSOIL Snowshoe GNCC. Modeled after the famed Blackwater 100 race, the Snowshoe GNCC in West Virginia is known for being one of the most challenging races on the entire 13-round circuit, and it serves as the eighth round of the 2017 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series presented by Maxxis, an AMA National Championship. WFR/Yamaha/Maxxis/Fly Racing’s Walker Fowler is no stranger to the rough and rugged conditions that will be present this weekend and will aim to extend his points lead at the conclusion of the two-hour race on Saturday.

Fowler continues to lead the way in the National Championship standings with a 56-point gap on the rest of the XC1 Pro field. With six wins behind him and never worse than a second place finish, Fowler’s consistently has proven to play a major role in his success. However, anything is possible in GNCC Racing and that remains true as the series moves to Snowshoe.

One racer who will be eager to end Fowler’s success is CST/Induction Solutions/LSR/HiPer/Spider Graphix’s Adam McGill. McGill set his eyes on earning a National Championship years ago, and remains focused on his goal – where he has yet to finish outside the top-five this year. The West Virginia native will also be competing on his home turf and hopes to utilize that as an advantage as he looks to earn his fifth Snowshoe overall win.

Coastal Racing-backed Brycen Neal has been struck with bad luck the past two rounds, and moves into round eight, tied in points with six-time GNCC Champion Chris Borich. Neal has been in contention for an overall win at multiple races this season, but has just fallen short. The Ohio native will be looking to earn his first career overall win this Saturday, while Borich will be looking for his 74th career overall win.

JMR/ATVriders.com’s Jarrod McClure is no stranger to the middle of the box when it comes to Snowshoe, where he took his first overall win in 2015. McClure has a solid string of top-five finishes behind him, but also has his fair share of issues this year. He will aim to change that this weekend as he will have his eyes set on the middle spot on the box as he looks to repeat his success from two years ago.

Landon Wolfe remains on the hunt for a podium finish.

GBC/Canyon Motorsports/Fly Racing’s Landon Wolfe heads into this weekend with back-to-back top-five finishes. With his recent success, Wolfe has the extra boost of confidence to land on the podium on Saturday. GBC/Fly Racing/HMF/Yamaha’s Johnny Gallagher already knows the sweet taste of victory this season and would love to climb back to the top again this weekend. Gallagher favors the muddy conditions that Snowshoe will play host to.

Since the first round in South Carolina, M.R. Unlimited/Hygear Suspension/GBC Tires/Tire Spine’s Devon Feehan has maintained control of the points lead in the XC2 Pro-Am division. However, his competition remains stiff and many racers have emerged victorious this season, meaning that that the XC2 Pro-Am class win this weekend is anyone’s to take. Ithaca Recreation/Maxxis/Quad Tech/Storm Peak Crossfit’s Hunter Hart and Hygear Suspension’s Greg Covert hold the second and third place positions. Hart sits out of the lead by only 12 points, and will be a man-on-a-mission as he looks to regain that top spot on the podium

Hunter Harts sits just 12 points behind Devon Feehan in the XC2 Pro-Am class as the GNCC series heads into round eight.
