Congratulations to GNCC Racers in 35th Annual Rocky Mountain ATV/MC AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship
Four GNCC Riders Excel in America’s Premier Amateur Motocross Race
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (August 15, 2016) – Racer Productions is pleased to congratulate four participants of the AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) series presented by Maxxis, an AMA National Championship, on their impressive performances at the 35th Annual Rocky Mountain ATV/MC AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship, presented by AMSOIL. The world’s largest and most prestigious amateur motocross race took place August 1-6 at the historic Loretta Lynn Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
Super Mini Sr. (14-15) competitor Korie Steede is no stranger to the AMA Amateur National, but managed to earn her best career finish yet in 2016. With a 6-8-3 moto tally in the Girls Sr. (12-16) class, Steede secured fifth overall against some of the biggest names in up-and-coming female motocross.
Former full-time XC1 Pro rider Garrett Edmisten competed in the Junior 25+ and Vet 30+ classes where he lined up against some of the biggest names in vet racing. Garrett would have several small crashes in his Junior 25+ motos, resulting in a fifteenth overall finish. However, an impressive second overall in the Vet 30+ division would be Garrett’s crowning achievement of the race week.
Shelby Rolen, WXC and WMX competitor, returned to her grassroots of motocross in the ultra-competitive Women All-Star (16+) division. Never finishing outside of the top ten, Rolen scored seventh overall going 7-6-6.
Logan Grounds is having a standout performance in the 50 Jr. (4-6) class where he sits atop of the GNCC points championship, but the Indiana native also found success at his first trip to the Ranch where he finished in the top-twenty in the 51cc (4-6) Limited class.
RacerTV.com provided over 40 hours of LIVE race coverage throughout the week, resulting in over 324,000 live views during race week. The archived footage is now available for viewing HERE. In addition, two highlight shows featuring the event will air on NBC Sports Network later this fall on Sunday, October 9 at 4:30 p.m. and Sunday, October 16 at 5:30 p.m. EST.
