Racer Productions would like to extend condolences to the family and friends of lifelong GNCC family member, Thomas Wright, II. Tom’s life tragically ended at his home in Tabernacle, New Jersey, on Friday, July 1, 2016, when he was murdered by a former employee. For details on his tragic death, see http://patch.com/new-jersey/cinnaminson/breaking-1-killed-south-jersey-homicide-cops.
Tom quickly became a familiar face on the racing circuit once he joined the GNCC family in 2005. After winning the Senior A class in 2008 in the ATV division in a hard-fought battle against none other than Dave Simmons, Tom transitioned to the XC1 Pro class where he competed part-time for the next three years. In 2012, Tom repeated his success in the Senior A division by once again reigning victorious as the class champion.
To mark his 2008 championship, Tom was featured in the Tuesday Toolbox edition of December 9, 2008, http://gnccracing.com/2008/12/09/tuesday-toolbox-tom-wright, and also competed in the Baha 1000. Tom would have celebrated his 50th birthday later this month.
A visitation will take place this Sunday, July 17, from 6-8 p.m. at Medford Masonic Services located at 25 Bank Street in Medford, New Jersey, with the funeral following.
In lieu of flowers contributions in Tom’s memory may be made to the State Troopers NCO Association or the Masonic Charity Foundation of NJ.
Godspeed, Tom.
