Round three of the AMA National Enduro Series took place in Forest Hill, Louisiana this past weekend. The race was held at Camp Claiborne, an old abandoned army base. The weather was perfect with low humidity and temperatures in the mid-80's. The Cajun Classic was made up of 6 tests ranging from 5.5-10 miles long.
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing's Josh Strang started the day well with a 5th place finish in test one, where all top 5 riders were within striking distances of each other. Test two was another good test for Strang. He rode at a comfortable pace and was able to finish the test in 4th. As the race continued, Josh held a consistent pace and pushed himself through the tough wooded course. Going into the final test, Strang sat in the 5th overall position.
The final test proved to be a tough one for Josh Strang where stated that he "struggled in a few sections." He was able to finish the final test with a 6th place overall for the day. He is looking forward to improving at the next National Enduro.
