Bobbitt began the day with a strong performance, claiming the win in the first two tests. Mullins, who is still recovering from a wrist injury, finished inside the top three through the first three tests, giving him a consistent start to the day.

Bobbitt struggled through tests three and four, where he found himself tangled in the trees after a crash in test four. Meanwhile, Mullins excelled in test four where he captured the win and jumped to within two seconds of the lead position. In test five, Bobbitt bounced back to capture the test win, while Mullins maintained his consistency with a third place. From there, both riders stayed within the top four to ultimately finish atop the overall podium.

“I had an awesome time racing and attacking the track – the conditions were prime and it made for a physical day and tight racing,” Bobbitt said. “I was able to win some tests but not enough at the end of the day to capture the win, but it was a good day for overall championship points.”

“I would like to congratulate Steward for an outstanding ride today,” said FMF KTM Factory Team Manager Antti Kallonen. “Also, Russell Bobbitt has put forth a very consistent start to the season and he knows that is how championships are won – we are looking forward to getting him to top spot.”

After missing the 2015 season due to injury, Mullins earned an impressive third place finish at round three.

Kallonen added, “Going into the season our goal for Charlie was to podium after a few races, so we’re extremely proud to see him finish third at round three. It’s been long overdue since his injury almost two years ago and we’re glad to see that his hard work and long hours both on and off the bike are paying off.”

Martinez won the first test in the Women’s class, where she maintained a consistent afternoon in Louisiana. Martinez ultimately won by over five minutes to capture her second-straight National Enduro victory.
