The 2014 Mountain Ridge GNCC got off to a good start for Josh Strang as he rounded the first turn in a solid 2nd-place position. Strang would battle with the lead duo of Jordan Ashburn and Kailub Russell for the first three laps before a pit stop mishap resulted in a substantial amount of fuel being dumped into his lap. Josh tried to continue racing but the pain was too great forcing him to return to the pits and immediately do whatever he could to stop the burning. He heads into the penultimate round of the season with the confidence of knowing he put in some of his best laps of the season at this round and with the fire, (pun intended) to reclaim the number two position in the overall standings.
