LYBURN, WV _ February may be a short month, but it will be busy at Hatfield-McCoy Trails, both at home and on the road.
It gets under way Valentine's Day weekend as the Hatfield-McCoy folks head off to Indianapolis for Dealer Expo 2009 (Feb. 13-16). The Expo at Lucas Oil Stadium is the oldest powersports aftermarket trade event in the industry.
While there, Hatfield-McCoy will welcome AM-Pro Racing's Randy Hawkins and Jason Raines to sign autographs and talk all things Hatfield-McCoy and off-road.
A legend on the National Enduro scene during his 17 years of racing, Randy is a seven-time American Motorcyclist Association National Enduro Champion and winner of 13 ISDE gold medals; he has 72 national AMA victories. While he still races in select events, he has moved from full-time racing to team owner/manager of AM-Pro Racing. With a wealth of knowledge from his years as a champion off-road racer, Randy is an invaluable mentor to his riders as well as a great spokesman for the sport.
A three-time AMA National Hare Scrambles Champion, Jason made history in 2007 by taking the 2007 WR450F to its maiden victory during the final rounds of the 2007 AMA National Hare Scrambles Championships. Overall, he is a five-time AMA National Hare Scrambles Champion and was the Japanese Cross Country Campion in 2003; he has three ISDE gold medals, one ISDE silver medal and 35 AMA National Off-Road victories.
Randy and Jason will be on-hand at the Hatfield-McCoy Trails Booth 4130 on Saturday, Feb. 14th, starting at 2 p.m.; Sunday, Feb. 15th, starting at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.; and Monday, Feb. 16th at 9 a.m.
Then later in February, Yamaha will be offering two free consumer demonstrations of brand new 2009 Rhinos and ATVs.
The rides will be held on Feb. 28 and March 1 at Hatfield McCoy Trail Little Coal River Trailhead, located on Route 119 south of Charleston. The rides will be available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days.
