As reported previously on GNCCRacing.com, ( click here for the previous update ) GNCC Racer Darrin Strong was injured at the Unadilla GNCC on September 28. Darrin has spent the last two weeks in the Intensive Care Unit at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, N.Y. We have an update on his condition as he begins week three of his recovery.

Darrin has now been moved to a Special Care Unit and is showing some signs of progress. Darrin does face several challenges, and the medical staff continues to work hard toward his recovery. Darrin’s condition is still very serious.

The Strong family has been at his side during his recovery, and his mother, Danelle, says she has been overwhelmed by the cards and letters sent from fellow racers. She would like to pass a thank you on those who have shown Darrin their support, and she requests that you continue to keep Darrin in your thoughts and prayers.
