We've just gotten the official word from the Red Bull KTM team today: David Knight will change things up at the next few GNCCs now that he has wrapped up the 2008 Can-Am Grand National Cross Country Championship. Knighter will skip this weekend's race, the ITP Power Line Park GNCC, in order to race the prestigious Weston Beach Race in England against fellow KTM rider and 10-Time World Champion Stefan Everts.

So no Knighter this weekend. But he will return to for the finale, the Klotz Ironman GNCC, and he will race KTM's ATV in the XC1 pro class on Saturday! GNCC rules prohibit XC1 pro bike riders from racing the ATV race Saturday and then racing again on Sunday, so Knight will focus solely on the ATV race. For practice, he will race a KTM ATV at the Weston Beach Race this weekend (and then hop on a bike later).

The bike champion is racing an ATV at the Ironman. This is going to be fun!
