Burning Rock Opens to Great Success

BECKLEY, W.VA.””Off-road enthusiasts are enjoying the region’s newest trails at Burning Rock Off-Road Park. Open since July 4, Burning Rock, located outside of Beckley, W.Va., has already had hundreds of visitors eager to try out the nearly 100 miles of trails.

 

“We’re very pleased with the turnout in these first weeks,” said Bryan Helmer, Executive Director of Burning Rock Off-Road Park, “we’ve had a great number of locals, but we’ve had several visitors from out of state as well.”Â

 

One of those riders was Mark Nester who traveled more than 7 hours to be at the trail its opening weekend.  “The variety of trails this park provided me was very exciting,” he said.  “There were plenty of trails that were challenging, and a number that offered a nice relaxing ride as well.  It was well worth the trip.”Â

 

Burning Rock Off-Road Park provides countless opportunities to riders of all levels.  “It’s exciting to be able to provide such a variety of trails to ATV and Dirt bike enthusiasts,” said Michael Haid, an advisor to the Burning Rock Off-Road Park “West Virginia certainly has countless opportunities for great off-road excitement and judging by the response thus far, we think Burning Rock Off-Road Park is living up to its reputation as Southern West Virginia’s hottest off-road destination.”
