Jesse Robinson will be questionable for Sunday's race in N.C. Suffering a concusion from a hard crash Thursday may sideline him for the first time in his racing career. A stiff neck along with a few minor injuries has brought his riding and training to a halt.
Jesse also suffered a blow to the head at Sparta on the first lap when he high-sided and went over the bars in a field. He came in the first lap and said his depth preseption was off. Although falling to 35th overall, he was able to shake the cobbwebs out and mount a charge all the way to the XC2 leader before taking another spill that slowed him back down to finally finish 14th overall.
Hopefully the next 4 days will allow Jesse enough time to recover. Sunday's race will be held on a piece of properrty that has been very kind to Jesse's racing efforts. It has been a place of firsts. First ever win on a motorcycle, Mid East Hare Hare Scrambles / Light Trail class 2001. First ever GNCC 250 A win, 2005. First ever win on a four-stroke, Mid East 2007. The best GNCC finish to date, 6th / 2 minutes from the podium 2007. We hope this weekend is not the first ever race in seven years to sit out!
