A wild and crazy race day at Loretta Lynn's results in the end of Adam McGill's GNCC win streak, as his KTM ran into electrical problems on the very last lap while leading. But it was a hard-fought race, with Yamaha's defending GNCC Bill Ballance and Rockstar/Makita Suzuki's Chris Borich delivering the battling everyone had been waiting for, racing with McGill all day. In fact, on the last lap the top seven riders came through the scoring barrels wheel to wheel! At one point, Borich got stuck on a hill and lost time, but Ballance stayed right there in the fight with McGill on the last lap. Then McGill lost power and Ballance took his first win of the season.

Borich fought back hard to get to second. Team Excell Motorsports' Bryan Cook logged yet another impressive ride, coming from way back in the pack to take third. Cook is turning a lot of heads this year.

Brandon Sommers took the ITP Holeshot Award and held on for sixth.

Don Ockerman won the XC2 class on his GT Thunder Yamaha.

In the morning race, Angel Atwell notched her second-straight win on her Tom Clark Motorsports Honda.
