McGill Leads the General

Three laps down in a five lap race and Adam McGill isn't just leading on his KTM, he's dominating. McGill's lead is nearly three minutes, and he started the day with the ITP Holeshot Award and has been pulling away every since. McGill's performance is really unbelievable.

The battle for second is raging between Chris Bithell, Brandon Sommers and Taylor Kiser. Johnny Gallagher is running strong in fifth. Ockerman, Lenig and Crane are battling for the lead in XC2 Pro-Am just like they did in Florida.

The biggest news here is Bill Ballance dropping out of the race on his Yamaha due to electrical problems. That's his first ever DNF on a Yamaha. Chris Borich is struggling a bit today, having to pull in on the first lap and adjust his steering dampner, and also stopping for new goggles. Wait, this just in, Chris Borich is now out as well with a broken chain! So that's Ballance and Borich out on the same day!

In the morning race, Traci Cecco took a big overall win over Stefani Parton despite not starting on the front row. 4x4 Open rider Bryan Buckannon took third overall and the win in his class.

It's really, really cold out here today, and we even saw snow this morning! The track is muddy and soft and definitely is taking a toll on riders and equipment.
