Honda To Award More than $400,000 in 2008 GNCC Bonuses

MORGANTOWN, WV”“Racer Productions, promoters of the Can-Am Grand National Cross Country Series (GNCC), announced today that American Honda, through the Honda Riders Club of America (HRCA), will offer $411,400 in contingency and other bonuses during the 2008 season. The total includes up to a $50,000 bonus for the XC1 Championship winner.

HRCA has $266,500 posted in contingency dollars for GNCC's motorcycles, making it the richest Honda contingency program in off-road racing. GNCC ATV riders will vie for $94,900 in bonuses.

"American Honda and the Honda Rider's Club of America are excited to be involved with GNCC again this year," said HRCA Manager Bill Savino. "We know GNCC riders will be are even more pumped to know we are offering this great Honda contingency package in 2008. Not only are we offering a healthy Motorcycle and ATV contingency program, but a privateer riding a Honda Motorcycle or ATV in the PRO XC1 class has a chance at a $25,000 championship bonus."

The 2008 GNCC season kicks off March 1-4 at The Triton in Melbourne, Fla. ATV’s will practice Saturday, March 1 and race Sunday, March 2. Bikes will practice Monday, March 3 and race Tuesday, March 4. For more information, visit www.gnccracing.com.
