Race Announcer – GNCC Racing
GNCC Racing is looking for an energetic, knowledgeable, and professional Race Announcer to join our team for the upcoming race season!
About the Role:
As a GNCC Race Announcer, you’ll be one of the voices of the event—bringing the excitement of off-road racing to fans on-site and beyond. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for motorsports.
Job Summary:
Announcer should have knowledge for the sport of off-road racing and motocross. This role requires strong communication skills, ability to think and speak clearly during live broadcasts, work well as part of the broadcasting and event team and be willing to work long hours outdoors in all types of weather. Announcer will be part of the GNCC events team, including the equipment set up and tear down, along with announcing youth, amateur and pro podiums and pit reporting for RacerTV. This position requires travel and weekend work, as we have 13 GNCC events, with other various race event announcing opportunities.
Job Responsibilities & Requirements:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be willing to travel and attend all 13 GNCC rounds with opportunities for other racing events.
- Setup starts Thursday afternoon and tear down begins Sunday after the last race.
- Work long hours and be able to lift heavy items such as speakers and ladders.
- Communicate well. The racing industry consists of a close-knit group. Creating and maintaining friendly relationships with our racers, sponsors and other stakeholders is vital. Also, the ability to connect with all ages, from youth to vet racers, is also vital.
- Safely operate off road utility vehicles on varying types of terrain in varying weather conditions.
- Construct, Test, Maintain and Cleanup Event PA, Starting Line PA and Podium PA systems.
- Adhere to the Safety Protocols established by Racer Productions.
- Be cool. Seriously, this is a tough job, but it’s pretty amazing at the same time. We all work extremely hard, but we’re working on something that we absolutely love and are proud to be a part of. A good work ethic is mandatory.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Race Announcing Experience (preferred not required)
- Valid driver’s license
- High School diploma
- Physically able to perform above tasks
- Ability to speak well in front of large crowds
- Willing to learn
COMPENSATION:
- Hourly rate based on experience
- Fuel reimbursement to and from events
- Lodging provided
