TWO IN A ROW FOR JORDAN ASHBURN WITH THE MOUNTAINEER XC1 OPEN PRO CLASS VICTORY
FINISHES IN SECOND PLACE OVERALL FOLLOWING
ANOTHER SOLID WEEKEND OF GNCC ACTION
Jordan Ashburn makes it two XC1 wins in a row!
Navigates the dust-filled race to second position Overall
Asburn now sits fourth in class with two rounds to go
Ashburn and his GASGAS EX 450F were in contention from the moment the race started at Round 11, with the experienced GASGAS racer making a strong start to factor at the head of the field from the beginning of Sunday's race.
Upon leading the XC1 Open Pro division in dusty conditions, Ashburn maintained a strong pace throughout the grueling three hours, favoring consistency as the race developed to reach the checkered flag first in class for the second round in a row. He is now classified P4 in class with two rounds remaining for season 2025.
Jordan Ashburn: “I knew how crucial a start was going to be today, and I put my head down and really focused on that. Me and Grant [Davis] fought hard at the very beginning, but then I maintained P2 Overall behind him for the first half of the race. I had a couple of falls, then I knew the guys behind were on it, so I kept it smart and safe to make sure I maintained my margin ahead of them. Smooth lines through the dust were key today, and overall, I’m stoked to claim my second XC1 Class win in a row – it was a good day and I am thankful for results like these!”
