FMF KTM FACTORY RACING'S JOHNNY GIRROIR
EXTENDS AT THE GENERAL GNCC

KTM Offroad Weekend Update

Fresh from winning the Big Buck and Wild Boar rounds on his KTM 350 XC-F, Girroir was once again in contention from the outset in difficult, muddy conditions on Sunday. In the end he prevailed for the class win and second overall, building his early series lead to over 20 points as a result.

Johnny Girroir: "It was a good race, we were banging bars in the beginning and everyone was going back and forth. It was just gnarly all day, but with a couple of laps to go I found myself out front and gave it everything I had. I was going for the overall, but went over the bars, and left it all out there on track. I'm happy to gain some points in the championship and look forward to the next one now, we'll try to keep this going!"

Girroir was joined by reigning National Grand Prix Championship (NGPC) number one Dante Oliveira in what was his second GNCC appearance of the year, riding to a well-earned sixth position in XC1 Open Pro after gaining comfort as the day went on. It was another valuable round with FMF KTM Factory Racing on the East Coast while filling in for injured GNCC regular Ben Kelley.

Dante Oliveira: "Today was pretty fun, a nasty track and I was a fish out of water for the first half of the race, but it wasn't too bad! I finally found a flow midway through and it was positive, I'm happy to get out of my element and to challenge myself. Not the best result, but it was a good day for us."

FMF KTM Factory Racing Team Landers also featured on the podium in Washington, Georgia, as Grant Davis claimed second position in the XC2 250 Pro Class onboard his KTM 250 XC-F. He took over the points lead after teammate Gus Riordan recovered from a series of early mistakes for fourth position ā€“ the pair now separated by just three points and 1-2 in the championship.

Grant Davis: "I had a fun time this weekend, it was another solid ride, and ended up P2 to take over the points lead now, so Iā€™m pumped on that. Ready for Round 4!"

Gus Riordan: "The start was good for me, but I made way too many mistakes in the opening half of the race. After that I managed to bring it home in fourth, so we'll take it and move on."

After winning her first WXC round last weekend, Brandy Richards gained further experience in the woods this weekend on her FMF KTM Factory Racing Team Landers 250 XC-F, finishing fifth position at The General. Richards currently sits third in the standings, only six points outside of the lead following three rounds.
