In the WXC class, Korie Steede got off to a rough start sitting outside the top ten as they headed into the woods. Steede fought through the dust to pass up to 3rd by the end of lap one, and moved into second by the halfway point. She went on to have an intense wheel to wheel battle for the lead. Unfortunately, Steede tangled with a lapper which ended her charge for 1st place, she secured herself a podium position grabbing 2nd in WXC. Taylor Johnston grabbed her first WXC holeshot at the Wild Boar GNCC this past weekend. The endless sand whoops were harsh on her leg, previously broken in 2021, but she fought hard to a 10th place finish.

Lining up in the Youth morning race were Trail Jesters Next Gen racers Van Gosselin and Jiggs Fustini. In YXC1, Gosselin was running top 3 in class when he had a big crash, after getting out from under the bike and regrouping he managed to make some valuable passes, finishing his day 6th YXC1. In YXC2, Fustini had and up and down day  loosing his clutch during the second lap but fighting hard to earn a podium position, taking 3rd in his class.
