Windsor, NY - Devon Feehan, a 2017 graduate of Windsor Central School, was in Morgantown, West Virginia to receive the National Championship award for the Pro-Am class of the GNCC ATV series. Devon’s pursuits were featured in the Binghamton Press in June of 2017 and A Fox 40 highlight in May of 2017. The GNCC race series is a national ATV and Dirt Bike cross-country competition requiring riding skills and spectacular endurance. The participants battle across treacherous terrain for over two hours while racing total distances of 50+ miles. The series consists of 13 races in different venues in eight states ranging from Florida to Indiana to New York. Feehan logged over 17,000 miles this season traveling to and from races.
Devon led the Pro-Am division for the entire 13 race series in 2017. In addition to excelling at racing, one of the remarkable aspects of Devon’s racing program is that he is also his own mechanic, conducting all machine building projects and race-to-race maintenance and repairs. The mechanic plays a critical role because of the beating these machines take in each race. This aspect of the racing program requires logistical skills, organization, preventative maintenance, and mechanical knowledge. Feehan relies on M.R. Unlimited of Syracuse to build his engines.
Devon also has committed to a physical fitness and nutrition program that keeps him in top physical condition. He can be seen working out regularly at American Family Fitness in Vestal with trainer Catherine Aranda.
Feehan attends SUNY Broome, majoring in Business Administration and will be moving up to the XC1 Pro Class for the GNCC 2018 season. He is sponsored locally by Binghamton Honda, M.R. Unlimited and Hygear Suspension. His national sponsors include: Tire Spine, RJR Racing, GBC Motorsports, Fly Racing, Houser Racing, Fox, DP Brakes, Spider Graphix, Dirtworks, Fasst Company, GoldSpeed Products, Hinson Racing, QuadTech, and Precision Racing.
