However, some after laying down some early speed, a technical issue led to Trantham dropping right back to lay almost last in class. In some of the best form of his Pro career, Trantham could feel the benefit in his fitness to skipping a few summer cocktails. He put on an almighty charge that allowed him to make pass after pass to get up to 2nd position. 1st place had left him too much work to do and as the checkers flew, Trantham took 2nd in Pro 4x4. A solid result that puts him a strong 3rd in the Championship chase, just 2 points behind 2nd.

The only other class Team UXC contested this weekend was Senior 4x4 with Graham Widdicombe and Nic Snyckers. Both riders laid down good performances, but it would be Widdicombe who put another Team UXC Polaris Scrambler XP1000 on the podium in 3rd. A great result at a track Widdicombe considers his weakest owing to the significant amount of motocross in the course. That said, he was pleased to be using Custom Axis Racing Shocks on his machine after making and sticking the landing of one of the larger doubles out on the course. Snyckers’ finished the race in 5th place.
