The Rocky Mountain ATV*MC/ KR4 Arrive-N-Ride team is pleased to announce the signing of Swedish Pro Jesper Borjesson.
Borjesson will race for the Rocky Mountain/KR4 team in the highly competitive XC2 class during the 13-round Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series and the 9 Round Kenda Full Gas Sprint Enduro Series during the 2017 and 2018 seasons.
The 21 year old makes the transition to the Rocky Mountain/ KR4 team after a 3 year stint as a support rider for the Husaberg / Husqvarna Factory team in Sweden. Most recently Jesper was a member of the 2016 FIM International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) Junior Trophy team which took the Championship in Navarra, Spain in October. He is eager to continue that success here in the United States.
Jesper also owns a youth development team in Sweden which competes in the Swedish Youth Championships, and he provides coaching and training camps— particularly focused on youth.
“Jesper is committed to helping young people achieve their dreams; the same dreams he had as a young boy. He is an ideal fit for KR4, as this is a major area of focus for our team as well. We are thrilled to include his experience, his talent, and his commitment in our program. He joins a crew of like-minded individuals”. — Frank Keegan.
“I’m excited to take this next step in my personal career and race with some of the fastest riders in America at the GNCC’s and Full Gas Sprint Enduro’s! I contacted KR4 team owner, Frank Keegan during the summer and my father and I made a trip over to try out some racing— it was awesome! ” — Jesper.
Jesper’s father Lars, has worked with the factory team in Sweden throughout his career, and he will be joining his son and the KR4 team during the first few rounds to assist with Jesper’s transition. The Rocky Mountain ATV/MC/KR4 team kicks off its 2017 season February 11-12, during Round One of the Kenda Full Gas Sprint Enduro Series. The GNCC Series begins Saturday, March 4th at the Big Buck in Union, SC.
