JCR/Honda's Trevor Bollinger backs up his Round #1 win with a dominating victory in Round #2!

For the second consecutive weekend the JCR/Honda Red Riders, Chris Bach (XC1) and Trevor Bollinger (XC2) prepared to battle the best Cross Country racers in the world. After a successful first round in Florida, the JCR/Honda duo, packed up their Honda CRF's and headed North to Georgia to train and test before this weekend's GNCC. Testing went well and the Team was ready to battle on race day.

A massive storm system threatened to invade the area, fortunately for all, the storm dissipated before it reached the course and we woke up to spectacular racing conditions. The Maxxis Cannonball race was held on a beautifully laid out, 12 mile race course on the Hill Family Farm.

The BIG story of the day was Trevor Bollinger in XC2 Pro. Trevor grabbed the lead early in the race on his Fly Racing, Lucas Oil, Maxxis backed Honda CRF250R and stayed at the head of the XC2 Pro class the entire race. Trevor not only won his class but he did the unthinkable by finishing the race with a 3rd Overall including the XC1 pro riders. This was a huge feat and a personal achievement for Trevor himself. Trevor also extended his series points lead heading into round # 3.

Chris had a tough race fighting off a bad head cold he soldered through determined to survive the high heat and humidity. He raced to salvage points for the Overall championship, finishing 11th in the XC1 Pro class.

"It is a great thing to win a race, It is even better to back it up consecutively. Trevor has gained allot of confidence in the last two weekends. I am very proud of his achievements and the entire team.

I felt for Chris today. It's not easy to perform in that condition, especially when its hot and humid. he dug deep and gave all he could on the day. He will be back to taste the podium in round #3, at Morganton, NC  April 2nd. Thank you to ALL our sponsors and support crew. Ride Red --" Johnny Campbell
