Racer Productions mourns the loss of lifelong GNCC family member Darrell Lee Raines, age 60, father of former GNCC championship contender and current GNCC team supporter, Jason Raines. Darrell lost his hard-fought battle with cancer January 6, 2016. For years Darrell piloted the Am Pro Yamaha team rig from event to event. Always armed with a smile and a kind word, Darrell often mentored riders young and old, amateur and pro. Devoted to his son, six-time National Hare Scramble Champion, eight-time GNCC Overall Winner, and two-time ISDE Gold Medalist, Jason Raines and his racing career, Darrell was instrumental in his son’s success. Based out of Belfair, Washington, Darrell traveled coast to coast each race to be there when the announcer called out, “Ten… Seconds!”
