Husqvarna Race Report: Everett EnduroCross

Monday, October 19, 2015 | 2:55 PM

The Everett, Washington EnduroCross turned out to be another battle for the top of the podium for Rockstar Energy and Husqvarna rider Colton Haaker. Sitting in second place in overall points, this win would have put him closer to taking the number one spot at the end of the season. The night started out with Colton finishing the first heat in second place. A good start, but he missed the extra point given away to the heat winner.

The main event was full of excitement for both Colton and Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing's Mike Brown. Colton charged of the line and claimed the Nexen Tire Holeshot with Mike Brown following closely behind. Colton and Brown led the first 4 laps in first and second. A mishap in the rocks held them both up and they were pushed to second and third place.

As the race continued, Haaker rode consistently, finishing in 2nd place. Colton said, "Coming out with second place was a good result and good for the championship, but I expected more out of myself and expect to be more ready for victories at the last 2 races in Boise and Ontario."  Mike Brown got stuck several times, slowing him down. He still rode hard to finish right outside the podium in 4th place.
