Round 11 of the Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series took place in Central City, Pennsylvania this past weekend. With rainy, windy and cool conditions forecasted the entire weekend, Team UXC arrived Friday morning to get the weekend started. The rain began to fall early Friday afternoon and continued through the race on Saturday.
Team UXC was ready for the challenge, leaving the starting line with Swift #208 in 4th and teammate Trantham #202 in 7th. The UXC duo picked their way through the Pro 4x4 Class with Swift running second just after the start of lap two, while teammate Trantham pitted for goggles and moved to the end of the pack.
Swift battled with the leader the last three laps changing positions three or four times. Swift was able to make a pass about three miles before the finish just edging out the competition. Trantham had a hard fought battle the last three laps trying to move back up after his pit on lap one. His tactical riding skills allowed him to work his way back into third before the checker was waved.
Swift claimed the #1 overall win of the morning ATV race along with his fourth Pro 4x4 Win ofthe season. Teammate Trantham has five Pro 4x4 wins giving Team UXC/Polaris Factory nine of the eleven Pro 4x4 Class wins.
“Without the help of our sponsors, this win would not have been possible. Thank you to Scott Goggles, ROX Speed FX, Maxxis Tires, Fly Racing, Spider Grips, Leatt and Custom Axis for great products which helped in the wet conditions,” stated Swift.
Team UXC racer Don Higbee put in an awesome race as well, landing yet another podium 3rd place finish in the 4x4 40+ Class. Graham Widdicombe claimed a top 5 position in the A/B 4x4 Class.
With only two rounds remaining in the 2015 season, UXC will be ready to once again put the Polaris Scrambler 850 EPS in the centre of the Box. Team UXC will also be back in full force the last two rounds with Razor and ACE action.
