For the first time since the 2013 Gusher GNCC, Chris Bithell stood in the center of the podium at round five of the 2015 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Series presented by Maxxis, an AMA National Championship, after rainy conditions made for a tough and slick course. Team Maxxis/FLY/Yamaha's Chris Borich put together another solid performance capturing second overall ahead of JMR/ATVRiders.com's Jarrod McClure rounding out the podium in third.

The rain fell early at the 4th running of the Limestone 100 GNCC, but that didn’t stop the riders from battling it out all afternoon. It was JMR/ATVRiders.com-backed Jarrod McClure who captured the $250 AMSOIL XC1 Pro Holeshot Award as he led a string of racers into the woods on the opening lap.

Neal Motorsports’s Brycen Neal moved into the lead briefly before battling with Bithell. Neal would also suffer a mechanical issue on lap three, ultimately ending his chances an overall podium finish.

Fasttrax/Wolf Racing’s Brian Wolf finished a season best fourth in the XC1 class ahead of GBC YAMAHA HMF’s Johnny Gallagher and Showhauler/Maxxis/Cycle Barn’s Landon Wolfe who also had their best finishes of the season. CST/PirateMX.com/LSR/DeRisi/Tireblocks/SG’s and current points leader, Adam McGill experienced his worst finish of the season with a ninth overall.

In XC2 Pro Am, N-Fab/AmPro Yamaha/Maxxis/Lonestar’s Cole Richardson lead wire-to-wire to claim the class victory ahead of RYCO Racing’s Cody Collier and Honda’s Martin Christofferson. Richardson remains undefeated in the 2015 season, and continues to hold the XC2 Pro Am points lead ahead of Martin Christofferson and Cody Collier.
