UTV Advance Registration Requirement and Restatement of Eligibility Requirement 

It is necessary to amend the 2015 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Series UTV Competition Rules with regard to new registration requirements for UTV Teams.  Due to time constraints, it is necessary to encourage online advance registration for all UTV Teams to enable pre-event Start Row assignment and to verify class eligibility of Teams. 

Accordingly, effective with the next UTV event, all UTV Teams will be required to register online in advance.  The new registration requirement states:

E. Registration:

1. Online advance registration is preferred for all UTV Teams. Teams registering online in advance will receive priority Start Row assignment.

Furthermore, Teams are expected to comply with class eligibility requirements for XC1 and XC2 classes.  Teams not meeting eligibility requirements may apply for acceptance pursuant to Promoter Discretion.  However, Promoter Discretion must be obtained in writing from GNCC prior to competing.

Accordingly, effective with the next UTV event, all UTV Teams not meeting eligibility requirements for XC1 and XC2 classes will be required to apply for Promoter Discretion in advance in writing. The new eligibility requirement states:

B. Competitor Eligibility and Classification:

1. The following drivers are required to compete in either the XC1 Pro or XC2 Pro Sport class:

a. Top 10 overall drivers from previous year's GNCC.

b. Top 5 overall drivers from previous year's Best In The Desert (BITD) UTV series;

c. Drivers placing 11-25 overall the previous year are eligible, but not required to race XC1/XC2.

d. All further eligibility will be by Promoter Discretion.  Application for Promoter Discretion must be made and obtained in writing from GNCC.  Applications should include a race resume including racing accomplishments. 

All participants are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the GNCC Competition Rules and classes prior to competing in any events.
