Motorcycle Superstore/Bell Helmet support rider Cody Webb is ready to rumble when the gate drops at Round 1 of the GEICO AMA EnduroCross Series this Friday, May 2, inside the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.

In 2013, Webb finished an impressive third overall in the series and that was after missing the Sacramento round due to a broken foot. That's 25 points he lost in one round - Webb was only 11 points out from winning last year's championship.

We checked in with Webb yesterday to see how prepared he was for the start of the 2014 Geico AMA EnduroCross series. You can read for yourself below, but there's no doubt in our mind, Webb has one thing on his... and that is winning the championship!

We are only a few days away from the opening round of EnduroCross in Las Vegas. Are you ready? Are you healthy?

I am mentally and physically prepared for Vegas. I've been spending the last few weeks prepping on the EnduroCross track and all year with my physical conditioning. I can't wait for this weekend.

You started out the year with another impressive win at the King of the Motos. Was that a good gauge to determine how ready you are for the 2014 EX season?

It was definitely a good gauge of showing how prepared I was for the 2014 season. It's a completely different style of event, but shows where everyone is at early in the year and helps out with the confidence going into the season.

You're back with BETA Motorcycles for 2014 - Will you race the 2-stroke again all season?

Yes, I'm on the 2-stroke for the entire season. The bike is much lighter than the 4-strokes and feels so nimble. The power delivery of the 300 works well on the technical EnduroCross courses and was a perfect fit for me last season. With another year on the 2-stroke under my belt, I should have more confidence in my bike this year.

Taddy [Blazuziak] is back again with KTM for the next couple years. Do you see him as the guy you have to beat to win the championship?

Yeah, he has been the man to beat for the last few years now. He is always a tough competitor and hates to lose.

What about guys like Mike Brown and Taylor Roberts... both riders will be on new bikes this year with full factory support.

Riders like Brown, Roberts, and Haaker all have good programs and equipment backing them. They will each be a tough rider and the field of riders seems to be getting deeper and deeper every year. Roberts is coming off a pretty big injury, but like me last year with the broken foot, I’m sure he will have a strong recovery.

Obviously you're gunning for the championship. This year is an eight-round series plus the X Games. What's your plan? To win every race, or ride consistent and string together a title?

I would love to win every race! I'm sure that's everyone else's goal as well. I just want to finish solid every weekend with getting wins in where I can. Obviously the championship is my main goal and I want to do whatever is necessary to achieve that.

What sponsors would you like to think?

I want to thank Beta USA, Motul, Dunlop, FMF, Stillwell Performance, GEICO Powersports, Motorcycle Superstore, Bell Powersports, RAD Manufacturing, ODI, Von Zipper, Moose Racing, Sidi, Rockwell Time, DVS, Country Home Inspection, BRP, HBD Graphx, and I would like to thank the Kurt Caselli Foundation for what they are trying to do with our sport.

If you are in Las Vegas this coming weekend - perhaps for the Supercross on Saturday night - make sure to put the Orleans Arena and the GEICO EnduroCross on your schedule. To purchase tickets, go to out www.EnduroCross.com
