Ruckle Race Report from Limestone 100

Tuesday, April 29, 2014 | 9:15 AM

Hey Everyone Its Cody Ruckle with my race report from round 5 of the Dunlop Limestone 100 GNCC. It was another great day for racing in Springville Indiana. I headed to the line on my YZ125 dressed in my blue and white Fly Kinetic Blocks gear. I was happy to have another dry race. I started on the very last row this week. Ricky threw the flag and was first off the line, grabbing the holeshot on my YZ125 with my Kenda Washugals sticking like glue. I got an early lead and just kept charging to the end, picking good lines and running consistent lap times.

My 2nd and 3rd laps were exactly the same to the second. I really liked the track! It was the kind of stuff I am use to riding in West Virginia, it’s like my backyard. It was so cool to go up over the big rock at the FMF PowerPoint. I did it the last 2 laps because there was a bottleneck on the hill and my dad pointed me to that line. My Factory Connection suspension was perfect for the rough, hard packed, rocky track. Zac told my dad he could make me faster and he was 100 percent right. I ended my race with a 1st in the class and a 52 Overall. This is my best overall finish since I have been running the 3-hour race, so I am pretty pumped!

I would like to thank God for keeping me safe, Mom and Dad, Ryan Inmon, Luke Miller, Layne Michael, Colton Cumpston and Gary Fridley for riding with me. Thanks to all my sponsors: Raines Riding University/Atlas Yamaha/Offroadviking.com, Fly Racing, GE, YamahaMotor Corp, Yamalube, GYTR, Kenda Tires, FMF, Factory Connection, Flat tire Defenders, Endro Enginering, Rekluse, IMS, GPR Stabilizers, TM Designworks, Gaerne Boots, Wiseco, AM Pro, DP Brakes, Stickman Graphx, Unabiker, Fast Co Flexx Handlebars, Scott USA, Mad Man Cleaning Solution, Titan Industrial, CV products, Bill Dailey.
