Ruckle Race Report from Steele Creek
Tuesday, April 1, 2014 | 9:20 AM
Hey Everyone Its Cody Ruckle with my race report from round 3 of The FMF Steele Creek GNCC. Well after hoping and praying for better weather, we still couldn't catch a break. After raining most of the day Saturday we were in for another mudder.
Conditions started to improve as we headed to the line for a delayed start, however the track conditions were still pretty rough. I felt good dressed in my Fly gear, and confident in my YZ 125. I had a good start; my Kenda's hooked right up. I was second going into the woods and soon made the move into the first place position. By the end of the first lap I had a good solid lead. I just kept charging, choosing my lines carefully and riding smart. My Factory Connection suspension is spot on!!! I hardly even felt like I road for 2hrs and 45 min on that rough track. I can't thank you enough Zak!! I finished my race with a 1st in 200B and a 62nd overall.
Please keep XC2 rider Rory Mead in your thoughts and prayers as he heals from his bad crash. I would like to thank God for keeping me safe, Mom and Dad, Ryan Inmon for training with me. Thanks to all my sponsors: Raines Riding University/Atlas Yamaha/Offroadviking.com, Fly Racing, GE, YamahaMotor Corp, Yamalube, GYTR, Kenda Tires, FMF, Factory Connection, Flat tire Defenders, Endro Enginering ,Rekluse, IMS,GPR Stabilizers,TM Designworks,Gaerne Boots, Wiseco, AM Pro, DP Brakes, Stickman Graphx, Unabiker, Fasst Co Flexx Handlebars, Scott USA, Mad Man Cleaning Solution, Titan Industrial, CV products, Bill Dailey.
