Josh Strang's GNCC Performance After Three Rounds

Rocky Mountain ATV/MC’s Josh Strang has delivered an exceptional performance this year at the AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Series presented by Maxxis, sanctioned by AMA. After only three events in the series, Strang has reached the podium twice in the XC1 Pro motorcycle class. He is currently ranked third in points.
As a former GNCC champion (2010), Strang is familiar with the requirements of skill and endurance necessary to compete in one of the most intense off-road series in the world. After his recent switch to Yamaha on a YZ450F, he has shown he still has what it takes.
The first two races of the series saw Strang take third and fourth places in the XC1 Pro class. At both of these events, he captured the holeshot, demonstrating his aptitude for quick starts in addition to speed throughout the entire race.
At the FMF Steel Creek round on March 30, Strang once more obtained third place – with only a matter of seconds separating his finish from Charlie Mullins (who took second at the event). This places Strang third overall for the series.
“We love the opportunity we’ve had to sponsor Josh Strang,” said Dan Thomas, CEO of Rocky Mountain ATV/MC. “We’re very pleased with his results this year, and we’re excited to see what’s yet to come.”
Ten more events remain for the 2014 season. GNCC Racing is just getting started for the year, and Josh Strang is working hard to make it a year to remember.
