John Yokley and Big Country Powersports Capture a Big Win at The General GNCC

Team Big Country Powersports dominated the opening round of 2014 AMSOIL GNCC Side-by-Side championship on Saturday, capturing a big victory at The General GNCC in Washington, Ga. The General drew a record number of 71 total Side-by-Side entries, including 32 XC1 Modified teams, but it was John Yokley and his passenger Jarrod McClure who topped the entire field.

John got off to a decent start on his Polaris RZR 900 where he went second into the woods on the opening lap. It didn’t take long for the Kentucky native to move into the lead and that’s when he established a pace that wouldn’t be matched all race.

“Towards the end of the race I wanted to slow down because I knew I had a pretty decent lead but I knew if they got a glimpse of me they would be right on me!” Yokley said. “The track was great and the Yoshimura motor and the STI tires hooked up great out there. We run real strong and can’t thank everybody enough for everything they do for me and the team.”

Yokley held tough throughout the nearly one-hour race, capturing the first victory of the season in Georgia. The first round win gives John and the Big Country Powersports team a five-point lead heading into round two.
