Hey Everyone Its Cody Ruckle with my race report from round 1 of the Moose Racing GNCC Mud Mucker. I was really excited to get to Florida and get the 2014 race season under way. Little did I know what I was in for? The Mud Mucker lived up to its name. This track was brutal!!! One of the hardest tracks I have ever run in a GNCC not one I would want to tackle after a long winter.Knowing this was a survival race my goal was to finish, not get hurt and not drown out my bike. My Dad was sick and couldn't make the trip, so I had to use my mom and Mark Myers as my pit crew. “Thanks Mark," I really appreciate it!! I headed to the line on my YZ 125 (which is a beast) armed with my Kenda Millville 2's dressed in my 2014 Fly gear and Gaerne Boots.

I got off to a great start. I got the whole shot into the woods and led the first 3 laps with a good minute lead, then it all went bad. I had to pit for gas, new Fly gloves and new Scott goggles not long after the pits I got stuck, so much for dry gloves. I pushed really hard to try to catch up, passed the leader in my class back, then crashed in a field 4th gear pinned. Thank you Kelly Jo Evans for taking the bike off of me and getting me back on my wheels. That was the hardest I have ever crashed. I ended my race with a 2nd in class and a 115th overall. I thought my hands where really blistered, but they weren’t bad at all.  My Fly gloves protected my hands very well, even though they were wet and sandy. I would like to thank God for keeping me safe, Mom and Dad, Ryan Inmon and Luke Miller for training with me and my buddy Ryan Inmon for driving me down to Florida. Thanks to everyone who looked out for me when my dad couldn't be there.
