Welcome to Quick Fill.
It’s the final countdown, of 2013 that is. Only five days left in this year and then it’s time to turn the page to 2014. Here’s to hoping that the upcoming year treats us all well, and better yet, cheers to all the good times that took place in the last year.
I hope that everyone had a great Christmas with friends or family. Judging by all the photos on social media, many of our GNCC Racers were very good this year because the gifts were plentiful! I want to say a quick thanks to everyone who participated in the 7 days of #gnccxmas last week. We had a lot of really great entries and it was so hard to choose just one each day. Congratulations to all of our winners, who will receive a four-pack of GNCC gate entries that are good for any GNCC round in 2014. If you didn’t win, don’t worry. We’ll present plenty more opportunities to win gate passes from now until the season begins.
We’ve been saying this for the past couple weeks now, but it really doesn’t seem like there’s a lot going on in the racing world over the holidays. It seems like most riders have their plans set in motion for next season and they’re just waiting for the holiday season to pass before it’s time to get to work. It won’t be long before we see a trail of racers migrating south for the rest of the winter. In fact, I think I saw a post from Adam McGill that said he had a change of plans and he was heading down today. He wasn’t messing around! If only the northern part of the US wasn’t so dang cold…
We’re going to cut it short this week and let everyone enjoy their last bit of vacation time. I’m en route to the Midwest to visit my family until the New Year so I may not respond quickly to emails. If you need something posted on the GNCC website, please shoot an email to [email protected] and she will get you taken care of. I’m looking forward to getting the 2014 season underway. Happy New Year everyone!
Here’s Ken Hill with a few short words:
Thanks, Jen!
I just wanted to say how cool it was watching everyone post their Christmas pictures. The friend and family time shined through, even though the gifts were off the chain! I never got a dirt bike or ATV for Christmas but seeing the images posted after the young ones were asleep was awe inspiring! The craziness that envelopes Christmas amped by the thrill of seeing a new ride gets even an old guy like me wishing for a chance to do that for my own kids.
On second thought, I did do that! Cool feeling isn't it! The joy of giving is the best feeling of all and I thank you all for sharing your images, videos and general holiday spirit! We won't be able to wish you all a Happy New Year before the next edition of Quick Fill hits the web so to everyone, have a very Happy New Year!
Thanks, Ken! That’s going to do it for us this week. We gave Rodney and Jared the day off as I’m sure both of them are still working on digesting all the food they may have consumed yesterday.
I just wouldn’t feel right using Rodney’s signature sign-off, so I’ll just say thanks for stopping in and we’ll see you on the flipside.
