Its Cody Ruckle with my race report from the Ironman GNCC in Crawfordsville, IN. It was a great weekend for racing. The fall weather is great and this is one of my favorite tracks. I headed the line on my 2013 YZ 125 with my Fly gear ,my pink EXS Brand goggles, my Garnes and Kenda Washougals. I had just gotten my front forks back from Factory Connection on Wednesday and we were good to go. I didn't get the greatest start and got bumped a few times, but by the time we hit the woods I was in the 3rd place position.

On the first lap, a spectator pointed me a bad line and I got stuck in the mud and had the bike buried up to the front forks,but my good friend and team mates dad Jeff Ponder was there and helped me get out. It was all the 2 of us could do to pull the bike out, but thanks to Jeff I was off and rolling again and was in 2nd place by the end of the first lap. I kept charging and gained the 1st place postion and kept moving foward in the overall. With a record pit with my IMS quickfill, I lost no postions. I  finished the race with a solid1st place in 200B and 61st overall. My best overall finish of the season. I plan on taking a little time to relax during the month of November. I really like to hunt. But after that, I will be heading back to the gym 5 days a week and going down south to get some serious riding and training in before the start of the 2014 season.
