Team KR4 Arrive-n-Ride Report - Powerline Park GNCC

Friday, October 18, 2013 | 10:40 AM
  • Chris Douglas racing for KR4 in the XC2 class put in a stellar performance finishing 6th! The KR4 Arrive-n-Ride team is very proud and honored that Chris turned to the services of the AnR program to help him finish the year. Now that he sold his stable of Husqvarna's he has a ready-made team of professionals to help him finish the season on the highest possible note.
  • Chris Bach XC1 had a great race going on for 4th between himself, Josh Strang, and Jordan Ashburn! All three could have been covered by a blanket as they traded who was leading their freight train throughout the race. After three hours of racing the three riders all finished within an 18 second window of time! Chris ended up 6th Overall and 6th in XC1.
  • Luke Parsons had the race of the year! Luke competes in the 4 Stroke A lites class and finished 2nd in his class and 35th of 203 riders. Luke was strong and steady throughout the day going from 5th on the first lap to 4th on the fourth and then finishing in 2nd after six laps.
  • Karlynn Beam had a standout performance of the year in the Women Pro class! Her finish of 7th belies the top 5 pace she was maintaining. Karlynn relentlessly closed in on 6th place into the finish line switchbacks only to come up seconds short. Overall, if not for the time-cost of two falls on the first and last lap of the four lap race, she was on tempo for a 5th place finish behind the "juggernaut" of women 5-10 years her senior!
  • Colin Keegan had a race to remember finishing 8th in the 250B class! Similar to team mate Karlynn, Colin had two laps that cost him a very similar 4 minutes of time during his five lap race. If he could just have those four minutes back he would have finished 6th on the day! Ultimately, Colin also doggedly pursued 7th place on the last lap and closed to within 32 seconds of the rider!
