The penultimate round of the AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Series hosted another impressive group of racers (1400 strong) this weekend at the Powerline Park GNCC in St. Clairsville, Ohio. Even with the massive number of participants, Motorcycle-Superstore.com support riders Maria Forsberg and Andrew DeLong once again found their way to the top of their respective podiums.

Forsberg started out the morning race with another outstanding finish taking the AM race overall victory and the Women's Class win but the best part of her day was that she also clinched the 2013 GNCC Women's Class Championship in the process. Obviously, Maria was happy to repeat her championship and wanted to thank both her family and sponsors.

"I am so excited for my win today. I got my third overall in a row and won the Women's Class. I had a good battle with Kacy Martinez the entire race. I can't thank my fans and sponsors enough, they are the ones who help make this possible for me, especially FMF, Motorcycle Superstore, Bell Helmets, Oakley, THOR, Rekluse, Leatt Brace, MotionPro, KTM, MuscleMilk and everyone else."

Factory Husqvarna and FAR Racing's Andrew DeLong also had a strong performance winning his third XC2 Pro Lites class in a row. "I am more happy for the team," claimed DeLong who bested second place by a 2:30 margin. "We have been working very hard to win races after coming back from my injury. My Husqvarna TXC ran great so we are obviously making progress, I felt we could do no wrong out there today."

The next round of the GNCC series is the AMSOIL Ironman and takes place at Crawfordsville, Indiana on October 26. For more event and series information go online to www.gnccracing.com.
