Andrew DeLong and the Fred Andrews Racing (FAR) Husqvarna team took to the Powerline Park in St. Clairsville, Ohio for round 12 of the GNCC Series, where Andrew celebrated his third win in a row, and sixth of the season aboard his Husqvarna TXC310R!
Andrew proved that he hasn't missed a beat after returning from Sardinia, Italy where he represented the U.S. at the International Six Day Enduro. The 24-year-old picked up right where he left off - on top of the podium - in the XC2 Pro Lites class, also claiming another top-ten overall finish.
"I am so happy for the team today," DeLong commented. "We have been working hard to win races after my injury. My TXC310R ran great today and I felt like I could do no wrong."
A lack of rain made for rather dusty conditions at the Powerline Park GNCC. The field was more spread out than usual, but DeLong went to work picking his way toward the front of the XC2 class. Once in the lead on lap two, Andrew never looked back and ended his day with a solid 2 minutes and 30 seconds over second place!
Despite being the winningest XC2 rider of the season, DeLong remains a solid third in points after missing two rounds due to a broken hand. "We're just out to win races and finish up the season strong," said FAR Husqvarna's Fred Andrews. "I'm really proud of the progress that he and the whole team have made this year."
