Zack Ponder Report - Gusher GNCC
Wednesday, September 25, 2013 | 9:50 AM
Hey everyone! Zman here just letting everyone know how the new race they call the Gusher went. It was another mud fest since it had rained all day and nite. I decided to make the best of it as me and my Yamaha YZ 85 were ready to do work! After putting on my lucky Fly Racing gear, I headed to the line confident that this mud was not going to get the best of me! Finally,TEEEEEN Seconds,I stared down at Mr. Ricky Towery flag waved and the YZ 85 went to work! I got off to a good start going 3rd the woods and my Kenda tires hooked up great. I moved into second with a minute down. I gained that in 2 laps and was right behind the leader. I went for the pass on the last lap and flipped over the bars.....I got up mad, but still finished in 2nd place. I was pretty bummed, but I still got the points lead. If I can hold onto it, is the question. Time will tell with the next 2 races. I can't leave without thanking everyone. First, I want to thank GOD,our troops and all the people that support us. Thanks goes out to my team Obermeyer Yamaha/Raines Riding University/OffroadViking.com race team,Sonny Morabito,Yamaha, Fly Racing,FMF,Factory Connection,KENDA Tires,AMPRO Yamaha, Randy Hawkins,Yamalube, Yamaha Generators,GE,HBD Graphics,Enduro Engineering,XGoggles,IMS, Accellerade,Wiesco,Rekluse, GYTR,Sunstar,Raines Riding Schools(Coming to a town near You),CV4,and Steward Baylor for not telling me what I want to hear, but what I need to hear and beleiving in me before every race and just how to get me fired up before the race.
