Atlas Cycles / Stickman Graphx Report - Mountaineer Run
Tuesday, June 18, 2013 | 5:10 PM
The Atlas Cycles / Stickman Graphx offroad race team traveled to Masontown, WV for Round 8 of the Amsoil Grand National Cross Country Series. Track conditions were slightly muddy due to rain in the area, giving the racers a challenging day. Dylan Stout competed in the 250 A Class where he put in some strong, consistent laps and came out with a 12th place finish. Lucas Statum, racing the XC2 Pro-Lites class took home a 19th place finish.
Wes Keller raced the AM race at the Mountaineer and had a great day. He raced hard all day and finished in 2nd place in the Sportsman A Class.
Braxton McGee had another outstanding performance in the Super-Mini class where he ran up front for most of the day until losing his rear brake rotor late in the race. Braxton, however, did not let the mechanical problems deter him and was able to finish strong in 3rd place maintaining his points lead heading into round 9.
250 A rider, Matthew Nix, was unable to attend this round due to an ankle injury. We wish Matthew a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back in action.
The Atlas Cycles / StickmanGraphx offroad race team will be back at it at Snowshoe Mountain in a couple weeks for some more racing action. As always we'd like to thank the following sponsors for their continued support!
