Well after sitting out for three races with a broken colar bone, it was great to be back on the bike and headed to the line on Sunday morning. We had hard rains and storms during the night. Dad had put a new Kenda Washougal on the day before, I dressed in my fly gear and my YZ SuperMini was all tuned up and looking good as usual.  I was feeling great ready to go! The track was extremely slick and muddy . Rodney threw the flag and we were off .I was about second off the line. Due to the slick conditions,   few riders went down in the first turn, a few more in the second, but my Kenda tires kept me up and moving . I was first into the wood by about 6 bike lengths. I managed to maintain my lead for two laps. There were bottle necks and bikes stuck everywhere, but I rode smart and chose my lines carefullly. On the third lap I managed to get tangled up in some grapevines and had to get off the bike to untangle the vines from my wheel.That is when second place caught up to me and got around me.I raced really hard to the very end and missed first overall by four seconds. I was really happy with my first race back and I felt really good afterwards. I am looking foward to the next race right outside my hometown of Morgantown, WV. Hope to see ya there.
