Hey everybody its Zack Ponder. Sorry for the delay on the report, but I been really busy with school. So this may be a little shorter than usual. Sunday morning was a perfect morning to to get our GNCC RACING ON!! I felt good after walking some of the track and seeing what an awesome course Jeff, Barry and all the Gncc crew had put together for us.

I felt good at the teeen seconds warning and I needed to get my Obermeyer Yamaha/RainesRidingUniversity/OffRoadViking.com RaceTeam YZ 85 out front. As always my YZ got me in the top 3 as we headed into the woods. Well after swapping the lead back and forth I settled into 2nd and decided to make my move on last lap. Well this is where I had a valuable learning experience. As I took my line to make my move I had a crash and never could get within 6 seconds. I let myself down because looking back now I was riding not to lose instead of riding to win. I ended up 2nd and 7th overall. I am looking foward to the next round and I need to do the only thing that will make this better, A WIN!!!

Thanks to my Team and all the Nice and not so nice talks after the race. It was all well deserved. Congrats to XC2 team mate Jed Haines for his 3rd place and also my friend since I was 5, Grant Baylor for his 1st XC2 Win!!! Hopefully my team mate Cody Ruckle will be back for the next round. Thanks To our Milliatary for keeping us free and God for looking over us. And thank you Sonny Morabito for getting my bike in perfect race shape. Thanks to GNCC for an awesome weekend and see yall in a couple of weeks.
