GNCC Racing is sad to report the passing of Carroll Holbert, who passed away on Friday afternoon.  Holbert was the co-owner of High Point Raceway in Mt. Morris, Pennsylvania, along with his brother Jack Holbert. The track was founded in September of 1976 on the Holbert family farm. At the time Holbert has three sons who raced motocross--Mike, Bob and Tom--and they were all instrumental in the work that went on at the race track, which become a round of the AMA National Motocross Championships in 1977 and has been a staple of the series ever since. Holbert was widely admired by family and friends, as well as strangers who just came out to the races, only to see Carroll working on the track, cruising the pits, or raising his grandchildren right next door. Godspeed, Carroll Holbert.
